Dawson Crow was hailed as one of the best American Football stars to come out of the college system in years. At the age of just 18 he signed a multi million dollar deal with the Baltimore Ravens and quickly became their star quarter-back. Six hugely successful years followed, with Crow being voted Most Valuable Player on three occasions. He was rumored to be earning upwards of $90 million a year including several lucrative sponsorship deals. Fate dealt Crow a cruel blow in his seventh season in the NFL.While on his way back from a training session, Crows car was involved in a tragic accident. A passenger plane carrying three high profile business men (plus the pilot) had experienced technical trouble while on a short flight to Washington. The pilot attempted to execute an emergency landing on the deserted mountain road, unaware that Crows car was travelling towards them, in the opposite direction. The plane and car met at an incredible speed, killing the business men and the pilot instantly. Crow survived but was horrifically injured. Using his vast wealth, Crows then partner Gabriella Jentine funded a series of operations to save the football stars life. The very best doctors in the world managed to save his life, but at a cost. Crow’s body had to be bolted together and reconstructed using an experimental metal alloy. His nerves were so severely damaged that he could no longer feel anything. He could not feel heat, the cold, or any pain whatsoever. His limbs had to be reconstructed separately, so they could be removed and repaired as necessary. The modification made to Crow’s body made him hugely powerful, and completely resistant to pain. This however has its disadvantages. Crow cannot feel anything to the touch. He is unaware of any injuries he sustains, and his semi-robotic body needs constant repairs. The LORBS researchers have assisted Crow in developing new, and better limbs for his body, although his lack of nerve endings makes these difficult to control. Unable to deal with Crow’s mood swings and severe depression, Gabriella Jentine returned to her family home in the Spanish hills. Crow (Now known as Crowdak) now lives with Iranamer and Drillbit in a New York city apartment, provided by the League.
