Dr. Vex fancies himself quite a criminal mastermind yet he still has trouble remembering to pay his electric bills. His body actually got tired of dealing with the doctor's lack of common sense and removed itself from Vex's head. Having a sense of compassion, his now liberated body fashioned a collar that sustains the doctor's head and brain functions. The body has since gone and got its PhD and currently teaches cosmology in the physics department of UCLA.
