I draw and paint white monsters related to the anteater family. Some have no legs and have wheels. http://www.artwanted.com/fantasiamay http://arapaho.nsuok.edu/%7Ehobdell/ http://www.cafepress.com/jessmay http://www.myspace.com/mayfasia http://misfitoi.livejournal.com/ I'm a graphic art student at NSU. yeah. Jessica May's Gallery. I will graduate soon in a few years. Jessica grew up in Beverly, MA with her alcoholic mother. She never met her father. During her childhood she was sent to many foster homes. In Elementary school she won many awards for her art. In the past she has attended several other art schools and camps. She went to ArtWorks in MA at Cove School and attended art classes in Beverly at the Green House on Lynch Park. She loves fantasy type creatures and surrealism. She sold her first painting in Elementary school. It was bought by the principal. She won first place in the art contest at the Health Fair in Beverly, MA in grade school. At age 15 she moved to Broken Arrow, Oklahoma and soon after her mother died of cancer. Jessica's Aunt and Uncle took her into their care. She is currently a Graphic Design student at Northeastern State University in Tahlequah, Oklahoma and is a active member of the NSU Fine Art League. She was one of the top ten winners of the Derek Hess Calendar contest on Juxtapoz.com in 2006. Her latest paintings have featured surrealistic albino, leucistic animals and monsters related to the anteater family. Artists statement: If I can see it in my mind first then it comes out onto the canvas much better. Better than if I had used a photograph. My childhood has had a big influence on my artwork. I hate painting realistic things. Why paint realism when we have imaginations? If people say my art is drug induced, then it must be good.
