Chuck was orphaned at age 6. He is one of 7 adopted Sandwiches, causing him to be neglected often and never became close to his foster parents. His cigarette rarely leaves the left corner of his mouth. His smile has become distorted into a grimace because of it.
The only time his clothing gets washed is when it is on his back because he never takes them off. Ever. He is self-conscious of his outie belly button and refuses to show his skin under the shirt...no one really knows what he's hiding under there.
At age 34, he returned to high school to complete his last class. He dropped out before he completed the final course required to graduate: home economics. For some reason, he cannot remember a proper table setting. Maybe he just refuses to learn.
