thank you for being honest. you're absolutely right, they're not highly original. but in my defense i'd like to add that i made these for nestle spain, and from experience i know they don't want highly original stuff, they want it to be "recoginisable" as in marketable. plus it was the first time i used illustrator. anyways, i appreciate it and love your Chewbacca. peace.

Thanks for the comment and taking in good old Dr Hidra. About the red lighting if you look through my other characters I do that on others once in a while. I guess I picked that up looking at Scifi/horror comics/illustrations/movies from the 30s through the 60s. It is still used for effect, but I saw more of it used in imagery from that time period. Some Italian film makers used that effect throughout some of their films. I really look for color use in stuff like that. Well I look forward to your use of it. Cheers.
