Anaknagana was created by the great wizard Anak that dwelled in the land of Nashala, just before he died. The name Nagana, in his native tongue, means "Guardian". He was created to protect the spirit of Anak, who feared that many would come to his grave to exume the magical essence of his remains. Anaknagana lives soley to protect the burrial place of his master, which is located in the Degri' Khanda, which means the Black Abyss. It is an uncharted cavern in the center of the land. He battles many armies and warriors that seek the power of Anak, and he has never been defeated. His name is among the many legendary tales of the Nashalan people.
