A photoshop painting, drawn with a mouse over the top of a photograph (taken years ago in my childhood when I watched a celtic re-enactment group). This technique envolves working at a really high resolution and sampling the colours of the photograph. Takes ages, but is really effective. (Please note, this image is not drawn over a photo because I can't draw, it is drawn over a photo because I enjoy the results that it gives. Incidently, it takes me longer to do one of these than it would if I drew, painted or sculpted the image.)

really great man - but I`m not too crazy about your drawing over a photo. But the result is pretty nice. Just try drawing without photos - it`s a lot harder but more rewarding when you get it right. :) Take care
