You keep ownership
Every Moji you upload remains your intellectual property. Mojizu does not claim copyright, trademark, or authorship of your characters. You decide where else it lives.
The license you grant to Mojizu
By uploading a Moji (and any associated name, description, tags, or metadata) to Mojizu, you grant Mojizu, Sabet Brands, and their affiliates and partners a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, fully paid-up, sublicensable, transferable, perpetual, and irrevocable license to:
- Host, store, reproduce, and cache the work on our servers and CDNs.
- Display, distribute, and publicly perform the work on the Mojizu platform and apps.
- Adapt, reformat, and create derivative works of the Moji strictly as needed to operate the platform — including thumbnails, watermarked previews, social share cards, open-graph images, merchandise mockups, battle cards, bracket displays, printed collateral, and reasonable remixes for community features.
- Use the work in marketing, advertising, editorial, promotional, and press materials relating to Mojizu across any media (including but not limited to websites, social media, email, podcasts, video, print, outdoor, and event activations).
- Sublicense these rights to service providers (hosting, CDN, analytics, print partners) solely for the purposes above.
This license is irrevocable for the duration of our operation and for a reasonable wind-down period thereafter. It survives account deletion and deletion or archival of a particular Moji so that existing promotional, marketplace, and edition records remain coherent.
Credit
When we use your Moji in Mojizu-operated marketing, we credit @yourusername whenever the format reasonably allows it. Certain product UI (thumbnails, cards, and grids) may display the work without inline credit as part of the feature itself.
Secondary-market editions
When a collector buys a numbered edition of your Moji, they acquire an in-app ownership record and the right to display and resell that edition within the Mojizu marketplace. They do not acquire your underlying copyright or any rights to use your character outside the platform. Every resale pays you a 10% royalty — forever.
Your representations
By uploading, you represent that: (a) the work is your original creation or you have all necessary rights to grant this license; (b) the work does not infringe any third-party IP, privacy, or publicity rights; (c) the work was hand-drawn or hand-illustrated by you (digital tools are welcome — AI-generated work is not); and (d) you have the right to associate your real identity with the work if required for verification or takedown.
Infringement & takedowns
We respect intellectual property. If you believe content on Mojizu infringes your rights, email ali@sabet.com with a DMCA-style notice (a description of the work, the infringing URL, your contact info, and the usual statements of good faith and accuracy). We act on valid notices promptly.
Questions
If any of this is unclear or you'd like a specific written license for a high-profile use outside the platform, contact ali@sabet.com. We're reasonable people.
